Orthodontics is a profession that continually fulfills my need to make a significant, positive difference in others’ lives. My days are meaningful because of the interactions and results I have with my patients.

The personal connection is what fuels my work. I love the lasting relationships I have with my patients. The icing on the cake is when our interactions go beyond orthodontic treatment to becoming a trusted referral for patients seeking other great doctors or sharing fun experiences with our families!

Education and Experience

Prior to practicing orthodontics, I completed dual bachelor degrees in biology and economics at Bucknell University. I attended the University of Pennsylvania, where I obtained my Doctorate in Dental Medicine. During dental school, I was awarded a full academic scholarship by the United States Navy.

Following dental school, I was commissioned as a lieutenant and stationed with the Marine Corps as a general dentist. I prided myself on delivering exceptional treatment that covered fillings, crowns, extractions, root canals, and cooperative care with all dental specialists in the US Navy. This experience was invaluable, because it gave greater insight into the role orthodontics plays in an individual’s oral health.

I was always focused on orthodontics, even while practicing general dentistry, and after my four years of service I returned to school, this time to Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. There I completed a three-year orthodontic residency and received my certificate in orthodontics and a Master of Dental Sciences degree.

Now in private practice, I can honestly say I love what I do. This field is a very special one, with long-term relationships that are positively significant in all my patients’ lives.

As an orthodontist, I am most passionate about giving my patients treatment options, educating them about those options, and delivering the highest quality of their selected treatment. My inspiration is ignited by challenging treatment needs, when I can employ my creativity and industrious commitment that ensures the best results.

I especially love the evolution of pre- to post-treatment results and the pride patients and their families show when their own commitment becomes a part of successful outcomes!

Continuing Education and Professional Memberships

I continuously engage in ongoing education, including intensive courses in clear aligner therapy. Staying current on new technology, innovative methodology, and the latest research and trends allows me to provide the advanced, conservative treatment my patients deserve, with stable, beautiful results.

I am a Diplomate of and board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. I am also a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and American Cleft Palate Association. Through these organizations, I have access to numerous meetings, lectures, and publications that keep me at the leading edge of my profession.

In the Community

Community involvement is critical to my team and office’s success. We continue to proactively seek groups to support, including sports teams, philanthropic organizations, and foundations that are part of the neighborhoods where we and our patients live. Additionally, I have a particular fondness for children and adults who receive care for cleft lip and palates. I regularly support the teams that care for those individuals, both locally and nationally.

Beyond the Practice

I am married to the love of my life, Sarah. She grew up in Short Hills and her orthodontic treatment was provided by my predecessor, Dr. Rob Rosen! We have been married for over 10 years and loving parents of Elle and Jack. In addition to our growing family, we have a skinny English Bulldog named Chai Latte and a small flock of chickens that provide us with fresh eggs daily. We cherish our time together and we are excited to see what the future holds, including the possibility of adopting more farm animals.

Outside the office, I thrive on time spent with my family and outdoors, particularly by water. I am an avid swimmer, though I do not put in the yards I used to as a Division 1 swimmer at Bucknell! Growing up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, I spent summers in the Poconos on Lake Wallenpaupack and splashing in the waves at the shore. The second-best job I ever had was as a beach lifeguard in Barnegat Light on Long Beach Island, where I was part of the guard competition team.
